Today Google released a third edition of the Android Developer Preview for several Pixel devices. Unfortunately, we do not recommend anyone to run the developer programmer on your Pixel if it is currently your main device because it might not be stable enough.

The update is dated April 23 with build number RPP3.200230.017 and is secured until April 2020 for security reasons. Works with Google Play Services 12/20/14.

If you already use Android 11 Developer Preview, Google offers the option to update to DP3 via an OTA update. The factory source link image can be found below.

Google notes that this update offers “bug fixes and a number of performance improvements” which didn’t tell us much. After Android 11 has reached the beta phase, not only is it rather stable for daily use, but it’s also much easier to register and get OTA updates (on air). You currently need to delete data on your Pixel device in the developer preview. So back up your files before installing.
